PALM BEACH. Set amid lush lawns and towering palm trees, this Gothic-styled church was built in 1927 and is a gorgeous landmark on County Road. At the entrance portal, four statues of the saints keep watch, and Christ himself rests above. Perhaps the most beautiful architectural element, the cloister's arches are detailed with open stone tracery and enclose a calming courtyard. Beyond the garth, the Cluett Gardens (created to honor two early members of the congregation) offer an area for meditation and include water features and well-cared-for planting beds. The sanctuary itself is dim and awe-inspiring, complete with elaborate stained glass windows and intricate woodwork. Tours are provided the second and fourth Sundays of the month, following the 11am service.
