LAKE WORTH. Children especially love this park, which has all sorts of activities to keep them busy. The beach stretches out with wide, sandy expanses to accommodate families, and a large pool with lifeguards provides a protected environment when the sand and saltwater get to be too much. A fishing pier lets young and old test their skills, and a playground gives parents a final chance to tire their energetic children before the evening sets in. If that's not enough, you can rent beach equipment in the area, a restaurant is located nearby, and ­ just to make sure everything's covered ­ public restrooms are available to take care of unexpected needs.
